Welcome to the Central Library. I know that many of you are confused and do not understand why you are here... so I will briefly greet you and give the answers I can for this point in time.

[The accented tone is even, but most of his face is covered by the dark fabric of his hood. However, he gives pause, allowing his audience to orient themselves.]

What you see around you, is the most extensive and thorough collection you have ever seen... or will ever again. Do not simply see them as books. They are far greater than that. As some of you may have noticed, it has fallen into disrepair and slowly it is dying.

[He lets the word linger a moment, his own voice drifting with a note of sadness.]

You have been brought here, because the Central Library needs your help to survive. Things will never be as they seem here... and you will encounter much strangeness during your stay. Be wary... the deeper you go into the decay, the higher the risk is. I will say no more on this for now. There are rooms to the end of the main hall on either side of the main door. Those smaller doors have some living space to accommodate you until the Library can slowly be revived. The center door... will lead you to a market place should you need food or supply. It is beyond logic or understanding... but you will find you will always have the correct currency when it is needed as the portal will change from time to time.

[Shaking his head, he bows it slowly in a silent thank you.]

Time always reveals itself as it flows. Please believe that you are needed here. Remember... do not harm the books.

You are wise... I am glad that you are one of those brought through the gates. I know you are capable of doing a great deal of good while you are here.

[His voice is sincere as he inclines his head in return.]

[A soft frown touches his lips.]

So what can we do to keep the bad at bay?

I'm going to assume you don't want all the science technobable, do you?

But is it really that bad? I mean, they're just books.

Wouldn't it be better to put them in some sort of digital format?

Be the light.

[He answered that without thought then ducked his head.]

Things will happen. And as different challenges arise and are overcome, the light will grow as well.

Well, whatever needs to be done, I'll help do it.

You don't look like him but you do sound like him.

[Which still causes an odd hollow feeling since the reminder is of both Vision and JARVIS.]

Thank you for the warning. I hadn't realized it even if I should have. I should have thought that through even if logic doesn't work the same here as it does where I'm from.

[Pausing, he considers the Head Librarian's suggestion.]

I'll help when there's trouble. Is there a certain area that needs attention now?

[the_head_librarian]

It is more the implication rather than the answer. Such drastic changes are never wise.

Are they just books? To the simple eye, they look and feel like books...

In reality, they are more. You are in tune with nature, yes? Listen to them. I know that they will whisper to you, just take care which you listen to.

[Barry pulls his cowl down and blinks at the man confused. He's a book lover why on earth would he harm a book.]

Harm books....that's just....nuts.

[Excuse him, he just came out of a time singularity.]

I can be in tune, yes. It's not something I do on a regular basis. I'm guessing I should practice more.

[Expression on face "Oh Goody Weird Voicey Things"]

Forgive me. Not many see things as I do.

[He takes a deep breath and fixes his eyes on the younger.]

I know that you will and I give you my most profound gratitude.

[the_head_librarian]

It is good to listen, but only if you know how to tune them out as well. But it will certainly open up your perspective on just what this place is.

[His gaze is not unsympathetic as he nods to him.]

[the_head_librarian]

Ah yes... the love of knowledge can certainly make you appreciate the keys that books hand to their readers.

[He nods slightly, his expression gentle, but more serene than anything else.]

I believe our non-fiction librarian will truly enjoy your company.

[the_head_librarian]

I am sorry for the poor memories this arises in you. I know that there are some that will take my appearance and resemblance even harder.

[Often times, knowing all the worlds is far harder on him than he cares to admit.]

Some knowledge is best known and not discovered. And you are correct, much of the logic you may think reality, will not be the case here at all.

[Considering this question, he gives it proper thought before speaking.]

Much repair is needed. But in the areas this is needed, it would not be wise to go alone.

[silverwaters]

I will be sure to do all I can. [A hint of a dry tone enters his voice though.] Do you mean to tell me you do not choose who is brought here?

[the_head_librarian]

When I reached into the worlds beyond to call those here... I was not sure who would hear my call and where my call would be lost. [He smiles faintly.] I called to you... and you came. Perhaps I should say, I am glad you answered.

[silverwaters]

[That gets a small smile.] As am I. I will leave you to your duties, of which I do not doubt are many. Be well.

[the_head_librarian]

And to you the same. I am but a call away should you have any questions that I will endeavor to answer.

As am I, should you need something specific.

[With that he...just...tries to turn the tablet thing off.]

[the_head_librarian]

[The librarian smiles in a hint of amusement, and ends the call, but not before causing the tablet to indicate an end button for Ecthelion for the future before it flicks of for both of them.]

Yeah, it will. If he hasn't seen the broadcast yet, I'll let him know so it isn't a shock.

[It'd still take time for Tony to get used to it. If he did. Steve still wasn't sure how Tony felt about Vision or how he was dealing with the loss of JARVIS.]

I've kind of gotten used to logic not being what I'm used to.

Then those are the areas I should check out but I don't know if it'd be a good idea to have someone go with me. I wouldn't want someone to get hurt while I'm out there.

From what you say, I'm not exactly sure I want to.

[He waved a hand.]

Not that I'm not going to help. I am.

I'm assuming the faster this gets fixed the faster we get home? While, I'm not too excited about returning to my current assignment, I do rather want to find my brother.

[Glorfindel can't really be angry at being brought here. He's reunited with Ecthelion long before they might have reunited in Valinor which is not unwelcome]

What are the consequences of harming the books? I will do my best not to but if it happens, the way you speak of the Library almost makes seem like it's aware of the happenings here.
