[Owen has clearly been dealing with some sort of mini emergency, if his ruffled state and the feathers clinging to his vest and pants is any indication. There's even a few in his hair that he's trying to get out as he sets his tablet-mark down, giving it a grin.]

Figured it was about time I introduce myself since so many people have been showing up lately.

[Now that he's done messing with his hair he gives a slight salute.]

Name's Owen Grady. Some of you may know me, some of you probably won't have any idea who I am. I'm an assistant librarian here. I cover pretty much any of the non-fiction sections that have to do with animals and the like so if you need something or notice something's up, get in touch with me.

[A chattering growl comes from somewhere out of view and Owen rolls his eyes fondly as he reaches out to tilt the tablet.

Beside him, coming up to about his knee, is a miniaturized version of a velociraptor with pale blue-gray stripes running down her sides laterally. She tilts her head, eyes narrowing at the screen as she snaps her jaws.]

This is Blue, one of the raptors I worked with back home. Don't let her size fool you--she's only that big here in the library. If we go anywhere else, she ends up her full size again.

[The tablet is righted again and Owen grins once more.]

Like I said, if you need anything, Blue and I are here to help.

[ I'm sorry, Tony is just going to stare because... you have a raptor.

Like, a real, will probably rip your throat out and be fucking happy about it raptor.

Wait, her being small is supposed to be weird? Not the fact that, you know, you have a trained raptor?

Is it house trained? I mean, honestly, what the hell is a raptor gonna do in a library?

[One of Owen's eyebrows goes up as he leans against on the shelves in the row he'd been lingering in.]

Yes? She's normally about as tall as I am.

[If the irritated sounding clicking churrs is any indication, Blue is not pleased about Tony's comments.]

What the hell kind of questions it that? Are you house trained?

[Don't insult his child.]

She's here to help.

I still find you having a pet raptor weirder than her being small, okay.

[ Tony cocks his head, eyebrow going up, but he smirks because, sass? You are speaking his language.

(The raptor however, is not speaking a language he knows, that is a weird noise. Wonder if he can program the suit to figure it out...)]

And mostly house trained, depends on if I like the house. And how much liquor is involved. But mostly house trained.

[ He insults everyone, deal with it. ]

Uh huh. With what? The mice?

[He's use to this. Not everyone comes from a world like his where dinosaurs are common place in the modern world.]

I'll give you a word of warning now, then. You may want to consider liking this place right from the start or else the head librarian may get a little peeved at any messes.

[And now it's time for a dry look.]

Not mice, just pests in general. Annoyances.

[Blue let's our a shrill chirp in agreement, the curved claw on her foot clicking against the floor.]

[Will stares in fascination at the creature. It didn't quite look like anything he had ever encountered before. Perhaps it held a little similarity to the afanc, but it was far smaller than that monster and bore little resemblance beyond the reptilian traits.]

Is that a dinosaur?

You got it, kid. [Owen grins.] A velociraptor to be exact.

Sorry? What's that, then? Don't think I've heard of it before.

...You've never heard of a velociraptor before? What about a Utahraptor?

Can't say I have. That's a place in America, isn't it?

..Okay, you aren't wrong about that, kid. But Utahraptors are a type of dinosaur. Just like velociraptors.

Goodness, they do seem to be discovering more of them these days.

About 700 different species.

Goodness. [He says it again.]

I must admit I don't know much about them. Some of my brothers were rather into them a while ago, but I only read a few books. Brontosaurus was mentioned, I think.

[..Okay now he's curious.]

Blue pokes her head up to peer at the screen, eyes narrowed still but she does click curiously which gets a chuckle out of Owen.]

That's her way of saying hello.

[She'd apologize if she knew - and wonder why the heck people were being 'reset,' since apparently this happened to other people too.]

And hopefully it won't be long before I see you in person - I'm pretty good at communicating with animals where I'm from.

[Depending on whether or not the animals in question wants to communicate.]

[It's alright. He's not going to hold it against her.]

Oh? Blue'll enjoy that. There aren't many people here that can understand her.

[He's...subpar at it. If anything, he's good at reading her body language and there's just an understanding between them that makes it easy for Owen to understand her.

But someone that could outright communicate with her? That wasn't Kronos? That would be interesting.]

You find a place to settle into yet or have you not gotten the grand tour?

Not sure how many people here know of the Speech, really, or something similar.

[She's far from the only wizard... but she might be the only one from her world here.

As for Owen, body language can be just as important as any sort of verbiage.]

I had the Orientation, but not much else. With how much avoiding the Darkness was emphasized, I didn't want to press my luck without learning more first.

Can't say I've ever heard of anything referred to as the Speech, honestly. Different languages, sure. But nothing like you're talking about.

[He's curious.]

I'd be more than happy to show you around if you'd like.

[Well, that just confirms Owen's not from her world; it's not a bad thing.

Curiosity, however, is a good thing.]

Ah, can we start now? If you're not busy, I mean.

[Owen can't help but chuckle.]

Sure, we can definitely do that. Where are you?

[Nita actually looks about.]

By the Astronomy books in the Non-Fiction section.

[You can hardly blame her, really.]

Easy enough. Just wait there and we'll be there shortly to get you.

[Nita nods, eyeing a few of the books, and settles in to wait.

She has to remember not to touch the books.]

[ This very interesting magical ring that he has that happens to show him things, is showing him a-- short elf? Short ugly elf with facial hair. What-- wait, no. Men. That was-- Whatever. The hell, he doesn't care about 'men', but that creature--

It's like a small dragon. A very small, but still ferocious dragon.

Well met, Owen Grady. I am Mairon, and I must say, your creatures there, Blue was it? She is quite... stunning.

[ Caution: as sincere and innocent as this fucker looks, he is totally think about ways to kidnap your raptor and make it better. She deserves a master better than some second rate Man anyway. Waste of Ilúvatar's time from what he has heard, should have stopped with the Elves really.]

[Off screen, Blue let's out a grumbling growl, curved toe claws clicking against the ground as Owen tosses a smirk her way.

He focuses on his tablet again, arms lifting to cross as he relaxes against the shelves.]

That's right. If it has to do with animals, I'm your guy.

Ah, but such a beautiful creature should be told of their beauty. This is not her usual size you say? How large does she usually get?

[ Because this is important. He has made dragons the size of mountains before, and if this one has the ability to change shape already, he might have to look into that. It is-- curious.]

Does this include animals of the mythic sort, I have questions pertaining to a creature that I met on my first journey in this place, a sphinx I believe it was called. Might I find answers in your section?

When we're not in the library she's usually about my height.

You might find some answers but the mythology section might be your best bet. I know I've seen a few books about creatures like that floating around my section but there's bound to be more over that way.

Oh, well that is fascinating. Does she possess any other abilities? She looks as if flight might serve her well...

[ And if she doesn't fly, well... Mairon knows a guy (himself) that is really good at making things do stuff they shouldn't be able to do.

Mythology? Mmm, I shall turn my gaze that way then. Though I shall certainly be inquiring more about your Blue. She is beautiful, and I have always had an interest in such creatures.

[Ten is grinning widely at the velociraptor]

She's beautiful and brilliant.

[Ten gives her a smile and finger wave and then does the same to Owen. There's also clever grinning at Owen because that is impressive to have a creature that clever to listen to Owen.]

Hallo, Owen. I'm The Doctor.

[Fireworks or rather gears are clearly turning in his mind as seen in those brown and ancient eyes and thinking about how dinosaurs and humans are able to co-exist. Even if that's also at the same time bothering The Doctor because fixed point in time - at least in his universe about dinosaurs going extinct]

How is it you two met?

[This also confirms that certain things only work in the book worlds and not in the Library.]

[Owen is quite alright to let Blue have this man's attention first, a grin playing on his lips as he reaches out to tilt the tablet a bit so his companion can see properly.

The raptor clicks softly, curiously, as she peers at the screen before she snaps her jaws in something of a greeting.]

That's a good greeting, I promise. [Owen kneels down then so they'll both in view of the tablet and gives the other man a bit of a salute.] Nice to meet you, Doctor.

[Doctor of what, he's not going to ask. He's well aware that some individuals that pass through here are just what they are.]

I was brought in to work at the park where Blue was born. Where I'm from, dinosaurs have been brought back to life through genetic splicing, fertilizing bird eggs with the spliced genetic material and some other things that probably should have never been implemented.

[Blue's head swivels and she lets out a rumbling growl which gets a huff of laughter out of Owen as he reaches over to stroke her head.]

You know what I mean, Blue. [And then he's looking at the tablet again.] I was in charge of behavioral testing and training with Blue and her sisters.

[A head nod] I'll take your word for it. Likewise, I'm sure.

[Then Ten begins to pierce his lips as soon as ' genetic splicing, fertilizing bird eggs with the spliced genetic material'. You have a lot of respect thar for yourself if you're training a pack of them. Though I'm more impressed that you're aware of just because you can doesn't mean you should. Got yourself a good head on your shoulders, Owen.

[Owen scoffs softly and shakes his head, glancing at Blue.]

It has nothing to do with respect for myself. It's all about having respect for them. Blue and her sisters are extremely intelligent. Most people disregard animals as mindless things that wander around but I've never felt like that. I know better.

[The raptor beside him let's out a soft rumble and bumps his leg with her snout, clicking her jaws as she looks rather pleased with his answer. It gets a smile out of him before he's looking at his bookmark again and his expression turns a bit more serious.]

If I wasn't aware of that, I probably would be dead by now. What the scientists at the park were doing..it got out of hand. Ended up destroying the park but honestly? It was just a matter of time before one of their creations broke the boundaries.

Oh wow, she's gorgeous! Hallo Blue! [Waggles her fingers in a wave at her.]

How do you work with her?

Back home I was responsible for training them, gauging their learning potential and how well they could work alongside humans in various situations.

[Don't mind Trunks as he just...stares for a moment. A dinosaur--that small--in this place. Well, if it was someone's pet... Then again, he didn't think anyone had raptors as pets, even if some of the people in his world had pet dinos.]

How big is Blue going to get?

[He's also making sure he memorizes what she looks like. No fighting that dino--that is a 'friendly' dino.]

I'm aware that while we're here in the Library, we're limited in some ways. Just didn't know they allowed pets and companions.

She's one of the smaller species, trust me on that.

[He grins slightly.]

I got lucky, honestly. The librarian was willing to let her come here to help me out.

If they tapped you as an Assistant instead of just us regular arrivals, then it makes sense they'd make an exception.

[Even if Trunks is wondering why certain people were tapped. Mostly because information is good, not because he wants a job.]

I'm aware dinos can have bigger or smaller species. That's how they are on my world too.

Well, I got Blue long before that happened. I've been here a few times over now.

[It's been an interesting adventure to say the least.]

I wasn't sure. I was talking to a kid that had no idea what a raptor was so can't be too sure what people know and don't know around here.

You've been here a few times? How long as this problem been going on?

[There's a hint of smile on his face though, with the idea that someone might not know.]

Nah, we have dinos where I'm from. Some people keep the littler ones as pets. Apparently also my Mom's best friend has eaten them once or twice before, while he was out on adventures. The big ones.

[Luke studies the creature, his memories of Bakura filtering through his mind. It looks reptilian, and it takes a minute to realize it's not a Sii-Ruuk. Same body shape, but they're stockier, only have two toes, possess a pair of 'tongues' in their nostrils, and usually are carrying weapons. He wonders if perhaps it's a relative of some sort.]

Sorry, I...I thought for a moment it was a creature I've seen back home..a Sii-Ruuk. They do look very much alike. But Sii-Ruuk can speak, and they generally don't like other races. What kind of creature is she?

Anyway, it's good to meet you. I'm Luke...Luke Skywalker.

[Owen gives the man a curious look, eyebrow lifting.]

Well you don't have to really worry about Blue. She doesn't speak like we do--but she is smart. Very smart. So if you ever need help and can't find me? Find her.

[The raptor let's out a rumbling growl and circles Owen's legs quickly, stopping at his other side to peer up at him.

Signing her up for stuff. Hmph.]

She's a velociraptor--a type of dinosaur.
